“When my mother had a major stroke, we knew that hospice was our best option. My own doctor whole-heartedly recommended Hearth Hospice. The next few days were a bit of a blur, but Hearth was always close by when we needed help. They treated us like family, acting with complete care and compassion. I’m confident that my mom was comforted by their expertise and professionalism. I am grateful to Hearth for helping me and my dad handle the hardest week of our lives. I would trust them to approach any situation with great care, and I will recommend Hearth Hospice to anyone who needs this invaluable services.”

“May all the nurses and staff follow Lora Baker and take lessons from her in the way she cares for patients and their families. She is humble, kind, and gentle, and goes way beyond her duties in treating the many problems that arise. I will forever be grateful for her cutting my mother’s fingernails and toenails, shaving her face, and picking mother’s buggers out of her nose. That is what love is. She is Jesus’s hands and feet on this earth. She will have many stars in heaven. With love.”

Heidi and Family

We love our patients because they become like family to us.

Wife of the Patient

As my husband always said, I need professional help. He got that help from Hearth Hospice. Everyone was so caring with their kindness, patience, and loving spirit to him. He always looked forward to the nurses coming. They would keep his spirits up. He got the professional help he was looking for. They helped to keep him from suffering. My thanks to Hearth Hospice nurses and staff.

J. Dunn, Wife of the Patient

“When you accepted Diana into Hospice Care on Friday night, February 28, we had no idea we would need you in the next few hours and following days. Diana accompanied me to East Cleveland Church of God where I pastor on Sunday morning, March 1st. Sunday night after we went to bed, she got up to use the restroom and before I could get to the other side of the bed, she fell. Apparently that fall triggered a sharp decline in her condition. The days that followed were difficult for her and the rest of the family. You accompanied Diana and us on the rest of that journey with dignify and professionalism and yet with care, compassion and comfort. You did not force your services, but you always allowed the family to make the ultimate decisions. Your care was guided by your medical training and your experiences. You helped us to be alert to things that helped us in our care of Diana. You really were available any time of the day or night when we had questions or when we needed you. You did not render cold distance services to Diana and us, but you ministered to us out of your abundant resources. The Greek word for minister mean “to serve.” We Thank God for you and we pray that God will sustain you as the ministry to many other families in crisis. The following people were especially helpful to us; Lorinda (on the phone), Sharon, Michelle, Paige, Lora, April, Amy, Sarah, and Chaplain Cardin.”

John Lombard, husband of patient

“To the wonderful people of Hearth Hospice,

My husband was in your care for some time. I wanted to thank you for all that your organization did to make him comfortable and cared for during this time. I just can’t say enough about the caring people, the supplies, and the love our entire family felt. This was such a stressful time for us and we would never have been able to cope without you. From the bottom of my heart I thank you. The people who cared for Melvin will have a forever place in my heart.”

Wife of the Patient

“We can’t begin to express how much we appreciate all you did for our family and the way you took care of our dad. Each one of you was so kind and helpful. The services you provide the families is so kind and compassionate. We wouldn’t have been able to bring our dad home without your help. Thank you again and God bless.”

The Family of Johnnie Humberd

“How precious was your care of us during my husband’s last few days. Everyone you sent our way blessed us. I won’t try to name everyone in case I should miss someone. Just know how much we appreciated the loving and expert care you gave. You helped make these difficult days a bit easier and we will be forever grateful.”

The Tucker Family

“We had a very good experience with Hearth Hospice. They were all caring and professional. Gave extraordinary care to my father.”

Daughter of the Patient

“I took my heels off last night and told myself I was for sure wearing my scrubs today and when I was leaving for work this morning I got to thinking about how happy I am to be working for Hearth Hospice. This company is just so much more than a hospice, it’s a family, and this family goes above and beyond to care for our patients and their families! I feel so blessed to be apart of it and I now have the opportunity to be able to do that in the wonderful place I grew up in, which I could not be more excited about! There is such a stigma around hospice and let my community know how life changing and wonderful it can be!”

Caitlin Grider, Community Liaison

“Thanks to everyone that did such a great job with the care of my mother. The night when she passed Aimee came out and made sure she was comfortable. Then Margaret came to stay with us with the funeral home got here. She was a Godsent!! She sat here for hours and made the time more bearable. “

Daughter of the Patient

“I don’t know where to begin. Hearth Hospice was so wonderful during Robert’s illness. I wouldn’t have known what to do, but your team showed me the way. I will always be so grateful to all of you. You are my shining star in the midst of the fight.”

Wife of the Patient

“Dear Hearth Hospice Team,

Sometimes, a ‘Thank You’ seems very inadequate-but right now, it’s all I’ve got. You all…each and every one…were magnificent. I could not image making this journey without you.  Big hugs and much love to all.”

Chip and Lynn Chapman

“Thank you so much for your caring, kindness, and concerns for others. You will be highly recommended by our family.”

Family of the Patient

“Dearest Friends at Hearth Hospice,

Your loving care of our dear Mom was wonderful! We are so thankful for you helping us through mom’s special closure of life. Your presence, sensitivity, kindness, and knowledge was such a help. Your thoughtfulness put a smile in our day!”

Family of the Patient

“I wanted to thank all the people that worked with my husband.

MJ got the ball rolling. Leona was only for short stay. Rusty saw him on coverage. Carly was the rock. My husband really took to her and she had genuine compassion. Carrie was great the night he passed. Very compassionate and caring.

Thank you again. You have some great people working for you.”

Wife of the Patient

“We are truly grateful for the kindness and compassion you extended to our family during this difficult time. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to come over and make special home visits. We appreciate ALL that the Hearth Hospice team has done for our father.”

Family of the Patient

“Everything went as well as it could have. It was a sad time for our family. Hearth did a very good thing for our Mother. Thank you all.”

Family of the Patient

“Thank you for everything you did to help Mark. May God bless you richly for your acts of kindness. It takes special people to work in this field. Stay true to God and your reward will be great.”

Caregiver of the Patient

“The nurses treated my wife very good. They were also very good about explaining everything to me with medicine and etc.”

Husband of the Patient

“The staff was always on top of things. Medications were, on two occasions, delivered late at night. Nurse, Roxie Davis, was phenomenal – very competent, compassionate, readily, available,  and administer. Brenda Moore, was incredible throughout. Chaplain, ‘Bubba’ visited two times and make it clear I could call at any time.  “

Family of the Patient

“We just want you to know that Hearth Hospice along with Renee Argo and other nurses made losing mom more bearable. We will always be very grateful to all your staff. What a comfort now to know you also are looking out for my dad.”
