What is a volunteer?
A volunteer is someone who contributes time, effort, and talent to meet a need or cause.
Volunteers are a very important part of our Hearth Hospice Team. They provide extra help to our staff, our patients and families. We have Volunteers who:
help in the office with administrative tasks
send birthday cards to patients each month
sit with patients as needed
visit patients for companionship
make things for patients
help with extra things for patients like haircuts, nail care, housekeeping, and meal prep
and so much more
Our Volunteers have a heart for helping and a love for people. Whatever talent or skill you may have, there is a place for you to Volunteer with us.
We are always looking for more volunteers to help on many levels. We let you choose the amount of time you can give, the things you help with, and the timeframe that is convenient for you. We take time to get to know our volunteers, do background screens, and training sessions with them before they begin volunteering.
Hearth Hospice is always searching for compassionate, loving individuals who would like to make a difference in the lives of others. If you have any questions, please contact one of our three offices and ask to speak to the Volunteer Coordinator.
